We aim to build a fanwork archive that is scaleable, easy to setup and maintain, and has great filtering and search. The idea is to focus on the technical stuff as much as possible, and not get bogged down in disagreements over what the individual archive of your heart would or should allow; think more "customizeable warning pages should absolutely be a feature" vs "incest/darkfic/rpf/smarm/fluff is evil and as such should be banned".

Please note that this is not an anti-AO3 project. The point is not to destroy, annoy, spite, or replace AO3. If you have an axe to grind with AO3 or the OTW, take it up with them. Don't bring it here. When the AO3, Wattpad, FF.net, FF.de or tumblr or any other fanwork-hosting concern comes up in conversation, think more "I think pseuds should be independent of your archive account by default" vs "pseuds are connected on AO3 and it is The Worst".

This is an offshoot of fail_fandomanon, but I'm figuring people will want to deanon here so as to collaborate more effectively; that's fine. Anon commenting is also fine. If discussion takes off and/or becomes unwieldy, I'm willing to start and mod a mailing list or a slack/discord/something similar.
